At ABC Pre-school we focus on teaching the foundation skills and concepts that are required for further learning. We offer an atmosphere where the learners enjoy school and where they acquire a love for learning that will sustain them throughout their school years. We provide a nurturing, secure environment where each learner is able to develop at their own pace.
We are registered with the Department of Social Development and comply with all the specifications and requirements.

Parental Involvement

We have parental activities throughout the year eg. Parents evenings, grandparents day, sports day and a year-end concert.
We encourage parental involvement to ensure that the child grows knowing that the bond between the child, the parent and the school make for a responsible, well- adjusted and happy little person.

FEES

Our fees are very affordable, with no hidden costs. School fees are strictly payable in advance before the 1st of each month. If your child leaves the school one month written notice must be given with full payment to date.

School fees per child:
The monthly payment for 2023 – R2 090 per child per month for a period of 12 months

Registration Fee:
Registration fee is R250.00 per child per year payable upon registration.

Stationery:
R650 for stationery per child per year payable upon registration.

Outings:
Our children love their outings and this is one of the highlights of their school activities.

ACTIVITIES

We have a balance between formal classroom-based activities and free-choice times and we offer various play areas aimed at developing specific skills:

Fantasy Area:
For social and emotional development

Creative area:
Allows for freedom of expression, development fine motor, development of spatial concepts, individual thought, creativity

Cognitive Area:
Intellectual development, self-discipline, motivation and self-discipline

Outside play area and jungle gym’s:
Large muscle development, sensory experiences and locomotor skills

Other activities:
Music, art and movement sessions are also included in our weekly activities.
Our end-of-year exhibition or our art is a celebration of our learners’ work that they have done throughout the year.

CLASSES

Our hours are from 7:00 to 12:00

Classes are divided as follows:
Lego Class 3 to 4 years
English Gr R and RR – Paw patrol Class
Afrikaans Gr R and RR – Nemo Class

The main learning areas are:

  • Language development
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Creative development (Art)
  • Cognitive thinking, memory skills and numeracy (Mathematics)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world (Science and Technology)


What do we teach?

An Excellent ECD Program

The ratio of teacher to child is kept small in order to monitor each child individually.

PRINCIPAL

At ABC Pre-school our main emphasis is on learning through play and self-discovery in order to develop each learner physically, cognitively, emotionally and spiritually.

We acknowledge the potential in each learner to reach their optimum ability. We want to develop confident, curious and competent individuals who leave us well equipped to face the challenges of big school.
